The Treasurer is a required officer for statutory municipalities under the Ohio Revised Code, whose duties are defined by law. The Treasurer’s term of office is four years and the election cycle is offset from the other municipal officials by two years. The Treasurer’s main responsibilities are to keep track of the municipal monies and to ensure that the Auditor’s cash balances are accurate.
