General Overview
The Findlay Municipal Court’s Probation Department oversees
all persons placed on probation as the result of a traffic or criminal
conviction. It is the goal of probation to monitor compliance with the sentence
imposed by the Judge, thereby reducing involvement of further criminal
activity. The Chief Probation Officer for the Findlay Municipal Court Probation
Department is David Beach.
Probation Officers assess the needs of the defendant and
monitor the compliance of their terms of probation, as determined by the Court.
Conditions of Probation can include paying restitution, alcohol and mental
health assessments, counseling, and community service. Defendants are assigned
to a probation Officer who will supervise the conditions of their probation and
provide assistance in complying with those conditions. The standard rules of
probation are provided for your convenience, but you are urged to remember that
these are the standard conditions, and the Judge may impose additional
conditions.
General Rules of Probation
It is
the order of the Court that you shall comply with the following general and
special conditions of probation:

1. I shall obey federal, state and local laws and ordinances. I agree to conduct myself as a responsible law abiding citizen.

2. I shall always keep my probation officer informed of my residence and place of employment. I shall obtain permission from my probation officer before changing my residence or my employment.

3. I shall not leave the Hancock County, Ohio with out written permission
of my probation officer.

4. I shall not enter the grounds of any correctional facility nor attempt
to visit any prisoner without the written permission of my probation officer. I
will not communicate with any prisoner in any manner without obtaining
permission from by probation officer.

5. I shall follow all orders verbal or written given to me by my
probation officer or other authorized representatives of the court.

6. I shall not purchases, possess, use or have under my control any narcotic drug or other controlled substance or illegal drugs including any instrument device or other object used to administer drugs or to prepare them
for administration, unless it is lawfully prescribed for me by a licensed physician. I agree to inform my probation officer promptly of any such prescription and I agree to submit to drug and or alcohol testing if so requested by my probation officer or other authorized representatives of the court.

7. I shall report any arrest, citation of a violation of the law, conviction or any other contact with a law enforcement officer or Court to my probation officer the next business day.

8. I shall consent to a search without warrant of my person, my motor vehicles, my place of residence by a probation officer or other authorized representative of the court, at any time.

Pursuant to section 2951.02 (C)(2)
During the period of a misdemeanor offender’s probation or other suspension or
during the period of a felon’s nonresidential sanction, authorized probation
officers who are engaged within the scope of there supervisory duties or
responsibilities may search with or without a warrant the person of the
offender, the place of residence of the offender, and motor vehicle, another
item of tangible or intangible personal property or other real property in which
the offender has a right, title or interest or for which the offender has the
express or implied permission of a person , title or interest to use, occupy or possess if the probation officers have reasonable grounds to believe
that the offender is not abiding by the law or otherwise is not complying with
the conditions of the offender’s probation or other suspension or the
conditions of the offender’s nonresidential sanction.

9. I __________________here by authorize the release of all confidential information from any public or private source, when the information is requested by a authorized Probation Officer or other authorized
representative of the Findlay Municipal Court.

10. I shall not associate with persons having a criminal background
and/or persons who may have gang affiliation, or who could influence me to
engage in criminal activity or violate the rules of my probation.

11. I shall comply with all financial obligations, including child
support, payment of fines and costs, restitution as ordered by any court.

12. I shall follow all rules and regulations of treatment facilities or
programs of any type in which I am placed or ordered to attend while under the
jurisdiction of the Court.

13. I shall report promptly on the dates and times as required by my
probation officer.

14. I shall refrain from frequenting locations where the primary purpose
is the sale of alcoholic beverages for on site consumption. Additionally shall
refrain from frequenting any location where a reasonable prudent person would
consider the possibility of criminal activity occurring likely.

15. I shall seek and maintain employment at a lawful occupation.

16. I shall not operate a motor vehicle without a valid Ohio Operators
license. I shall ensure that any motor vehicle I operate is covered by the state
mandated minimum insurance levels.

17. I shall maintain a curfew of 10:00 O’clock P.M., except during and
for employment.

I shall pay off my fines and costs by ______________ or enter into and honor a
payment agreement in the amount of _____________ weekly/monthly with the
Findlay Municipal Court.

19. I acknowledge that under the law, the Court may at any time revoke
probation for cause, modify the conditions of probation and reduce or extend the
period of probation. You are subject to arrest by the probation officer without
a warrant.
